PROJECT: systaic AG Production Facility

The total output from the production facility in Landsberg is 300.95 Kwp and is based on 2.315 energy units rated at 130 watts each. 48 inverters (SMA) transform the electrical energy into grid-compatible power and feed it into the local energy grid.

This requires 36 type SMC 7000 TL inverters, 6 type SB 5000 TL MS HC inverters and 6 type SB 3300 TLC HC inverters. Since the roof pitch on the production facility varies (from a pitch of 18° down to nearly flat surfaces with a minimal pitch of 3.5°) and optimal efficiency is required, different types of inverters were installed.

Technical information regarding the inverte

  • SMC 7000 TL: 2 strings (circuits) with 27 energy units each
  • SB 3300: 1 string with 22 energy units
  • SB 5000: 2 strings with either 20 energy units each or 19 and 20 energy units
  • The power-generating surface area is approx. 2,419m².
  • The roof is 67.4m long and 59m wide.
  • The energy units incorporate polycrystalline cells from Q-cells.

Covering the roof with SYSTAIC energy units requires the efforts of 11 SYSTAIC installation technicians and 10-15 additional installation technicians.

The underlying substructure is a crossed-rail arrangement based on aluminum and stainless steel components from the Schletter Co.

The system is monitored by a communications system that can be accessed online through its own portal from SMA. In this way, it is possible to monitor the daily output and generate error messages automatically in the event that an inverter fails.
